Embassy Festival 2026

Travel the World in One Day

The world is coming to The Hague this September as the Embassy Festival returns to the city’s iconic Lange Voorhout. On Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 12:00 to 20:00, visitors can enjoy a free day of international music, dance, food, traditions, crafts and cultural encounters.

With cultures from around the globe represented, the festival offers a unique opportunity to experience the diversity of The Hague without leaving the city.

A Global Celebration in the Heart of The Hague

Lange Voorhout will be transformed into a lively cultural meeting place, bringing together embassies, international communities, cultural organisations, performers and culinary exhibitors.

The Embassy Festival is about more than watching performances or sampling international food. It invites visitors to meet people, discover traditions and experience the many cultures that help make The Hague one of the world's most international cities.

Music and Dance From Around the World

Music and movement will take centre stage throughout the day. The 2026 programme features performances ranging from Japanese taiko and Moroccan Gnawa to Ukrainian a cappella, Georgian and Mexican dance, Romanian panflute music and international collaborations.

Among the announced highlights are Circle Percussion, Maâlem Rida Stitou, Mariana Preda, Korali, Dance Group Sakartvelo and Xochiquetzal. The day will also feature Embassy Sessions with Yellofox, bringing together musicians from different traditions.

Taste Your Way Around the World

Food is another major part of the Embassy Festival experience. The international market brings flavours and culinary traditions from countries including Argentina, Mexico, Lebanon, Portugal, Morocco, Japan, South Africa, Ukraine, Romania and many more.

Visitors can discover new dishes, local specialities and culinary traditions while meeting the people behind them.

Pick Up Your Activity Passport

One of the festival's most interactive features is the free Activity Passport. Visitors can travel from stand to stand, take part in cultural activities and collect stamps along the way.

The passport turns the international market into a playful cultural journey, with activities designed to introduce visitors to traditions from around the world.

Something for the Whole Family

With music, dance, food, workshops, crafts and hands-on cultural activities, Embassy Festival offers plenty to explore for visitors of different ages. Whether you arrive looking for a particular country's culture or simply want to discover something new, there is no shortage of experiences to uncover.
